The host of What Lies Beyond is Catherine 'C.C.' Campbell.
Cate has been working in the field of research and religious studies for most of her life.
After decades of academic research and spiritual journeying, Cate wrote her first book The Stolen Light of Women which was published by our sister company Anu Esoteric Press in the fall of 2014.
Cate's debut book was greeted with glowing reviews from Kirkus, Midwest Book Review, California Bookwatch, and has maintained a nearly 5 Star rating after dozens of reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.
In 2016, thanks to the success of The Stolen Light of Women, Cate (C.C. Campbell) became a member in good standing of The Authors Guild in New York City. Cate is also a proud member and supporter of PEN America and their mission to protect free speech for authors and journalists around the world.
In the spring of 2016, after over a year in production, Anu Esoteric Media premiered the genre breaking podcast What Lies Beyond with Cate at the helm. With thousands of downloads worldwide - from the United States to Australia, Great Britain to China, Canada to Finland, Saudi Arabia to Latin America - we are proud of the impact that Cate is making in people's lives as she fearlessly tackles topics both fascinating and controversial.
When she is not helping people understand themselves and the spiritual world around them, Cate is either working on her next book, happily lost amidst the stacks of independent bookstores, wandering about her ancestral Scottish highlands, star gazing the Arizona skies, whale watching on Puget Sound, or exploring the Colorado foothills with her husband and daughter.
She has studied history and archaeology with Oxford University and completed a Diploma of Archaeology with Cambridge University in 2024.
We are proud to announce that Cate's next book will be published, her books will be available on Audible, and the new season of What Lies Beyond will arrive Summer of 2025 as well as a dedicated YouTube Channel!
